There was a time when my toiletry bag was one of the heaviest things I packed.
Not because I needed everything in it—but because I thought I might.
Extra skincare. Backup products. Things I didn’t even use at home, but somehow felt necessary for travel.
And every time, I’d unpack at my destination and realize the same thing:
I barely touched half of it.
It sounds like a small thing, but it started to feel frustrating.
Digging through a crowded bag.
Trying to keep everything organized.
Carrying more than I actually needed.
It didn’t make travel feel easier—it made it feel more complicated.
At some point, I stopped packing for “what if” and started paying attention to what I actually used.
Not on my best days—but on my most tired ones.
Because that’s what travel really feels like sometimes.
That shift changed everything.
My bag got lighter.
Getting ready felt faster.
And I stopped second guessing what I brought.
Now, my toiletry bag looks very different.
It’s not full—it’s functional.
Everything in it has a purpose, and I actually use it.
If you’ve ever unpacked your bag and realized you didn’t need half of what you brought, you probably know exactly what I mean.
It’s one of those things that seems small—but makes a big difference in how travel feels.
That’s actually what led me to simplify my entire toiletry setup and stick with only what I use every trip.
